Truffle season is usually between November to March in the Dordogne region. These “rock shape” jewels can cost you a few bob, about 100€ for 100 grams, but will be worth every penny!!
Visit gorgeous Dordogne Valley in mid January and be treated to wonderful Truffle Markets, Chefs are available to teach you how to pair and use your beautiful truffles. Alternatively just shave a little over your scrambled eggs in the morning – how delicious!!
The delicious earthy flavour of the truffle can change the flavour of anything from a simple dish of scramble eggs to steak made with a gorgeous mushroom and truffle sauce.
