What you can expect at the Cottage

Explore the magic of the Dordogne at Les Chouettes.

The cottage is a 17th century Périgordian style farmhouse which can accommodate 8 guests comfortably. Should you be bringing a large group, one can rent the barn with the cottage to accommodate large friend and family groups.

The cottage and barn are situated only 1 km from Tremolat village, with its fabulous restaurants, wine bar, cafe, boulangerie and is only 30 minutes from Bergerac Airport.

Les Chouettes is perfectly placed for you to enjoy all that Tremolat has to offer and to explore local markets, castles, caves and chateaux wineries.

The cottage itself offers 3 outside eating areas which means you can choose where you would like to have your meals, depending on the heat of the day or the weather. You have use of the beautiful big swimming pool all to yourself, volley ball, ping pong and 8 non-professional bikes to explore the area.

Inside you have 4 bedrooms each decorated in a simple clean style which accentuates the beauty of the stone walls. Only one bedroom downstairs offers an en-suite shower room, but there are 3 bathrooms in total. One is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Upstairs you will find a lovely big bedroom with a double volume ceiling, which overlooks the pool and the walnut orchard below. The shower room is next to this room.

The kitchen/dining room is a lovely large space, with a large table for you to enjoy your meals together. In the kitchen, you will find all you require to prepare your gourmet meals.

The lounge is our favourite place.  It has a lovely log burner for the winter, a flat screen TV, DVD machine and music system.  Just outside you will find a verandah for you to relax and escape for the heat of the day.

The cottage is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, linen and towels and in winter, heating throughout.
